Elaine Adamek

Elaine M. Adamek, 91, of Staples, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Lakewood Health System Nursing Home, which has been her home for the last 9 years. Memorial Mass for Elaine will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples, MN with Father Joe Korf officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

Elaine was born on April 1, 1920 in Eden Valley, MN and resided in the state of MN all of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret & Nicholas Miller, husbands, Werner Klimek and Richard Adamek, daughters Mary Lee Klimek and Sharon Manning, grandson, Jim Holst, one great-great-grandchild, brothers, Roman, Phillip and John Miller, and sister Florence Revering. She is survived by daughters Ramona (Dennis) Johnson and Jackie (David) Holst, grandchildren; David Klein, Denise Hennen, Darnel Anderson & Dennis Johnson, Robert Manning & Shari Gray, Becky Guzman & Richard Holst; 20 great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Roers, Alexandria, Dorine Lehn, Little Falls and brother Joe MIller, Crystal MN.

Elaine enjoyed her 30 years as an LPN at Staples Hospital and her many volunteering years with VFW, Staples Senior Citizens, Staples Hospital Aux., TEC, Lions Club, Sacred Heart Mission Circle, Red Cross Bloodmobile, and any and all activities at Sacred Heart Church. In her younger years she loved her golf and bowling leagues as well as spending time with the grandchildren at her lake cabin in the summers. She will be greatly missed by all.

Mass & memorial services are tentatively planned for May, 19, 2012 at 11:00am, at Scared Heart Catholic Church of Staples.
