Eileen Wahl

Eileen M. Wahl, 92, of Crosslake, MN died on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Heartwood Senior Living in Crosby, MN. Services for Eileen were held on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Pinewood Cemetery in Crosslake, MN.

Eileen was born on May 17, 1924 in Fort Wayne, IN to Arthur and Nora (Bates) Worden. She married Robert Wiebke in 1944. They moved to Crosslake in 1969 where they owned and operated the Crosslake General Store for over 30 years. Eileen married Kenneth Wahl in 2006. She was very involved with Lutheran Social Services.

Eileen is survived by her son, Cliff Wiebke; daughter, Mary Vangen both of Crosslake, MN; grandchildren, Nathan Watt of Fifty Lakes, MN, Megan Carlson of Pequot Lakes, MN, and Kelsy Williams of St. Cloud, MN; great-grandchildren, Mason, Jaden, and Sophia; sister, Loretta Thomas; one niece; and several nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Nora; first husband, Robert Wiebke; and her 2nd husband, Kenneth Wahl. A special "Thank You" to St. Croix Hospice and the staff at Heartwood Senior Living for the compassion and care that was given to Eileen. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake, MN.
