Effie Darsow

Effie M. (Wille) Darsow, 87 of Cushing, MN died Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Lakewood Health System Care Center in Staples, MN. Funeral services for Effie will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, August 21, 2015 at Lincoln Free Evangelical Church in Cushing, MN with Pastors Jim Brown and Dan Crocker officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 5:00-7:00PM Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Randall City Cemetery.

Effie was born June 18, 1928 in Scandia Valley to John and Julia (Brumberg) Borgstrom. Effie was united in marriage to John Wille on May 8, 1950 in Lincoln. After John's death in 1994, she met and married Harold Darsow. Effie worked for 22 years at Larson Boat Works in Little Falls. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, canning, flowers, pets, feeding the birds, watching deer, going out to eat, helping people and being a social butterfly. Effie was very active in her church with the Ladies Aide, and was a member of the Scandia Valley Lions Club.

Effie is survived by her children, Dave (Mary) Wille of Cushing, Alvin Wille of Motley, Marlene (Mike) Stark of Willmar, Janet Diaz of Texas; ten grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Julia; both husbands, John Wille and Harold Darsow; brothers, Art, Charles, Irving and Albert; granddaughter, Joleen. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
