Edwin Christensen

Edwin Neil Christensen, age 45, of Pine River, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2008. He was born May 13, 1963 in Brainerd to Elmer and Alma Christensen.
Ed graduated from Pine River High School in 1981 and St. Cloud State University, where he was a member of the wrestling team from 1983 to 1987. After graduating, he worked at Matthew Hall Lumber in St. Cloud before moving to Hawaii in 1991. While in Hawaii, he worked as a building consultant and salesman until starting his two businesses: Tradewindow and Consulting, and Edwindow. His business won an award for the fastest growing small business in Hawaii. Ed was a very successful businessman and invented a special style window in which he holds two patents.
He loved cooking and entertaining and the Hawaiian Islands.
He is survived by his wife, Terri; children: Jennifer Kilchesky, Taetra Christensen, Adara Christensen, Colton Christensen; mother, Alma Christensen; sister, Linda Chantland; brothers: Rollie Christensen, Lee Christensen, Carl Christensen, Arvid Christensen, Don Christensen; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer.
Services will be 2 PM on Friday, September 26 at First Lutheran Church, Pine River. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
