Edward Allen Smith was born May 20, 1916 at Lincoln, MN moving to Philbrook, MN when he was a young man.
Ed spent his lifetime as a local auctioneer, a horse and cattle buyer and his business entrepreneur retiring at age 90. He operated the Motley Surplus Store, the Hitchn Post and the Trail Rides at KOA. He owned and operated Smittys Music and Vending, until he sold his business to his sons, Leroy and Loren (Hank) in 1989, and retired from there in 2006.
He enjoyed his hobby of raising mules, participating in the local parades, and wagon trains through out the local area. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be missed by all.
Everyone knew him as Grandpa Ed
He is survived by his wife Ethel Smith and his children.

Ed was preceded in death by Parents Leonard & Mable Smith, Stepmother Celia Smith, first wife Lois Smith, son Larry Kutzler, daughter Edna Mae Smith, Two son in laws George Webster, Dewey Killian Grandson Bryan Hampton, Great grandson Dackery Brown, Great granddaughter Hope Brown.
