Edward Larson

Edward Malcolm Larson, 93, formerly of Pequot Lakes was called home to the Lord on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Bethany Good Samaritan Village.
Edward was born June 2, 1915 in Faribault, MN. After completing high school, he spent forty years in retail sales and photography. He was united in marriage to Hazel Esklund in 1940. In 1966, Ed and Hazel moved to Pequot Lakes where they owned and operated Timber Ridge Resort and the Outpost Grocery in Jenkins until their retirement in 1981.

Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Hazel; three sons, Tom (Marlee), Bob (Jeanne) and Jon, all of Brainerd; and grandchildren, Laura (Aaron) Johnson, Jill (Matt) Thompson, Tony (Amy) Wittmann, Adam (Pam) Larson, Shannon Larson, Misty (James) Nielson, and Jonathon (Anna) Larson. He was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren.

Ed enjoyed attending church activities, gardening, farming, traveling, dancing (Heartland Squares) and being a handyman.

Services will be held at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Pastors Paul Jensen and Loren Anderson-Bauer officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
