Edna Rosen

Edna Rosen, age 93, of Staples, went to be with her Lord and Savior at the Lakewood Hospital on October 7. Edna was born on June 2, 1917, to August and Caroline (Beck) Kiemele, in Turtle Lake, ND. She graduated from Selfridge, ND High School in 1935, and North Central Bible College, Minneapolis in 1939. After graduation she married Edward Rosen, an Assembly of God pastor, and they had three children. They served the Lord together for many years, in Minnesota, California and Alaska. They did many short and long-term mission trips. They moved to Staples in 1981. Edna was a woman of godly character who served her Lord in many ways. She was a people person. Hospitality was always important to her; Sunday dinner might be 5 or 25.

Edna is survived by her children, Charles (Sondra) Rosen of CA, James (Ann) Roseen of CA, and Sharon (Ken) Nance of Staples; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Henders of MO; brother, Ted Kiemele of WA; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; her parents; 4 brothers; and 4 sisters.
