Edna Mae Pikula, age 77, of Nisswa, MN died Friday, February 14, 2003 at her home. Edna Mae was born July 3, 1925 to Fredrick and Mary (Kellerman) Dowling at home in Mission Township, MN. She attended the Dowling School in Mission Township. She was united in marriage to Floyd Jake Pikula on June 14, 1947 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd. Edna Mae was self employed until 1975 when she started working for Viking Labeling in Nisswa until her retirement in 1995 at the age of 69. She was a member of the Nisswa Legion Auxiliary and Lake Hubert Grange Auxiliary. As a loving grandmother she will be missed dearly by:
Her one daughter, Rosemary Oswald of Brainerd; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Eleanor Shipka of Duluth, MN. Edna Mae was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son, 1 daughter, 7 brothers, 4 sisters and one son-in-law, Irvine.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at 11:00 am at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd with Reverend Seamus Walsh officiating. Visitation will be Monday February 17, 2003 from 4 to 7:00 PM with parish prayers at 7:00 PM held at Brenny Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd. Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter is in charge of arrangements.
