Edith Larson

Edith Theresia Larson, age 88, of Brainerd died Friday, October 12, 2001 at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 16, 2:00 PM at the Community Covenant Church in Brainerd, with Reverend Jon Gehrls officiating. Friends may visit at the church for one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be at the Bock Cemetery in rural Milaca. Arrangements are with Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
Edith T. Carlson Larson was born on December 20, 1912 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Swan and Anna (Larson) Carlson. She completed Teacher?s College and taught in a country school for five years before she was married. She married Vernon R. Larson on October 10, 1936, in Milaca, MN. The family lived in the Milaca area before moving to Brainerd in 1943. Edith was a member of the Community Covenant Church of Brainerd. She had been a resident of the Bethany House and, most recently, of Bethany Good Samaritan Village.

Edith T. Carlson is survived by two daughters Joan B. Larson of New Hope and Jeanne (James) Spangler of Champlin; two sons Dennis Larson of Benicia, CA and Larry L. Larson of Brainerd; a brother Harry Carlson of Grand Rapids; and four grandchildren.
