Earl G. Lind, 87, of Baxter, passed away Monday, June 20, 2011 at Edgewood Vista Assisted Living in Brainerd. Earl will be honored with a private Celebration of Life Picnic.
Earl was born September 25, 1923, in Brainerd, the son of Gustva and Marjorie (Lundberg) Lind. Earl enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hiking in the mountains. He also liked to dance and travel around the USA in his RV. He was an avid history buff. He was most proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be remembered as a good parent, husband and a man with perseverance.
Earl will be missed by his wife of 67 years, Bea; children, Tom (Susan) Lind, of Lake Stevens, WA, Susan (Michael) Kirchgessner, of Arlington, WA, Jerry (Nanci) Lind, of Burnsville, MN, Julie (Dan) Witt, of Baxter, Judy (Jim) Anable, of Seattle, WA, and Carla (Tom) Loss, of Brainerd; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Carlos (Inez) Lind, of Baxter and Mary Nyquist, of Cambridge. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Dorothy, Marguerite, Mabel and Betty; and three brothers, Theodore, Jim, and Lester.
