Dwayne Larson

Dwayne Vernon Larson, 70, of Fifty Lakes, MN, passed away with his loving family by his side on January 25, 2019, at the St. Cloud Hospital. Born in Willmar on December 20,1948, he attended high school in Willmar where he actively pursued his musical talents. Dwayne married Linda Lawler in 1971. He played as a solo musician and also in the Shaw Allen Shaw Band. In 1984, the family moved to Fifty Lakes, MN. Dwayne continued his career as a musician playing at various supper clubs in the Lakes Area. He owned Big D’s Docks and Snowplowing and was also a proud volunteer for the Fifty Lakes Fire Department and City Council. During their 47 years of marriage they raised two children and three wonderful grandchildren.

Dwayne is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Matthew (Christina) Larson; daughter, Lisa (Ben) Wannebo; grandsons Connor Larson and Miles and Bode Wannebo; sisters, Marsha (Glen) Hovey, Melanie (Brad) Benson, Valerie (Randy) Anderson, and Vandala Dalfino. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon; mother, Lorraine; brother, Tim; nephew, Jimmy Hovey; and his canine companion, Indy.

A Memorial Service for Dwayne will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services.
