Douglas Wilbert Wynn was born on April 23, 1949 in International Falls, MN, to Lloyd and Marie (White) Wynn. He graduated from Pine River High School in 1968. Doug was united in marriage to the love of his life, Shirley Larson, on October 31, 1970, and they were blessed with 4 children.
Doug had several jobs throughout his lifetime. He worked at Johnson & Boberg Lumber, Grand Casino Mille Lacs as a slot attendant, Pequot Lakes High School as a custodian and Habitat for Humanity. Most recently he was a PCA for his wife, Shirley.
Doug enjoyed watching sports, hunting, spending time with family and helping Shirley at the Farmer’s Market in his spare time.
Doug is survived by his wife, Shirley, and their pets, Tootie, Snuggles and Sam of Motley; children: Sharon Wynn and her husband, Ken Yezek of Brainerd, Mark (Kim) of Wadena, Robert of Motley, Tammy (Brian) Sjogren of Fergus Falls; siblings: Donald of Pequot Lakes, Danny (Tucker) of Pine River, Darald, Theresa (Larry) Birge, Bud (Angela), Angie (Robert) Engholm all of Pequot Lakes, and Gail (John) Lyon of Lakeville; 4 grandchildren; 24 nieces and nephews; 47 great nieces and nephews; and 3 great-great nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joyce Wynn; and sister-in-law, Beverly Larson VanVickle.
Services will be 2 PM on Saturday, October 21, at Pleasant Hill Community Church, rural Pequot Lakes. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
