Douglas Charles Wilmar

Douglas Charles Wilmar, (Doug), passed away on June 30, 2024, in Pine River, Minnesota, at the age of 74. Born on August 1, 1949, in St. Paul, Minnesota. He grew up on the East side of St. Paul and completed his education at Johnson High School. Doug dedicated 30 years of his life working as a teamster truck driver, a career that he was profoundly proud of. He loved golfing, fishing, and being with his family and friends. Doug’s kind spirit, fun personality, and willingness to volunteer to help others with various projects will always be remembered by all who knew him. Doug is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Christine Wilmar; his sons, Mike Wilmar (Denise), Scott Wilmar (Amy Zachary), and Dennis Wilmar (Mary); his grandchildren, Meghan, Jack, Pete, Ella, Caitlin, Owen, Luke, and Abby; and his great-grandchild, Kegan. He also leaves behind his sisters, Deb (Randy)Schmidt and Julie Meissner; his brother, Jeff (Tracy Miller) Wilmar; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Audrey Wilmar, his brothers David and Jerry; and his sister Linda. Daughter in law Hala Wilmar. Sister-in-law Kathy Wilmar. A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor and celebrate Doug's life. Brenny Family Funeral and Cremation Services in Baxter, MN, is assisting the family during this difficult time.
