Douglas Mohar

Douglas D. Mohar, 73, of East Gull Lake, MN died at St. Joseph’s Medical Center/Essentia Health in Brainerd, MN on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Services will be private.

Douglas was born on October 14, 1943 in Minneapolis, MN to Robert and Verna (Jeske) Mohar. He graduated high school in Rogers, Arkansas. He moved to Minnesota after his fathers death and joined the Minnesota National Guard. Douglas was married to Nancy Button on December 16, 1966 in Wadena, MN. They lived in the twin cities where Douglas worked for General Mills and International Multi Foods. After International Multi Foods purchased Morey Fish Company, he and Nancy then moved to East Gull Lake in 1987. Douglas worked for Morey’s until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Douglas is survived by his wife, Nancy; son, Robert Mohar of East Gull Lake, MN; grandchildren, KD, Ryan, and Brooke; and sister, Bev Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
