Dorothyann Ubel

Dorothyann dearly loved her Savior. She believed that Jesus Christ lived the perfect life that we are unable to do, that He died and then rose again, ensuring for her eternal life in Heaven. She lived in the joy of this, His gift of Grace.

Dorothyann is survived by her three children, Jacquelyn Weise and son-in law Walter Jr., Susan Pagel and son-in-law Robert, David Ubel and daughter-in-law Lori; seven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Dorothyann was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank.

Dorothyann was born on June 3, 1930, to Ella and Willmar Moll in New Ulm, MN. As an infant, she became one of God’s children through the gift of baptism on July 6, 1930, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, New Ulm. On March 25, 1945, Dorothyann was confirmed in the truth of God’s word.

Dorothyann was united in marriage to Frank Ubel on September 29, 1951, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, New Ulm. They made their fist homes in New Ulm and St. Peter, then moved to Bloomington. Wherever they lived, Dorothyann and Frank were always active in their church. They felt it was important for their family to live where they could worship and be fed weekly in the truths of God’s word. After retirement, they moved to a lake home near Nisswa, later moving to Baxter.

Dorothyann used her God-given artistic talent throughout her life, from drawings for her high school yearbook, gardening and designing floral arrangements, to her favorite: china painting.

Dorothyann moved to Good Samaritan Assisted Living in Brainerd, living there three years. The last three years of her life were lived at St. Otto’s Care Center in Little Falls, MN.
