Dorothy Swift

Dorothy Pearl (Wiese) Swift, age 85, formerly of Pine River, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2007 in Murfreesboro, TN. She was born October 16, 1922 in Burwell, NE, to Louis and Edith Wiese.

Dorothy is survived by her sons: Duane Swift (Faye), John Swift (Connie), Terry Swift (Marlys), Billy Swift; daughters: Peggy Padgett (Robert), Pearl Jarboe (Bill), Christine Krantz (Dick); brother, Eldon (Barney) Wiese; sisters: Tillie Rice (Sid), Leona Evanson (Nelver); 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl McClellan Swift; brothers: Donald, Elmer, Art, Louis, Mike and Harry Wiese; sisters: Anna Yaryan, Nellie Scofield; and grandson, Michael Swift.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers and may be sent to the American Diabetes Association.

Services will be 11 AM on Saturday, October 27 at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Pine River. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 PM at Kline Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
