Dorothy Reed

Dorothy (Shamp) Reed, age 85, of Cass Lake, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at Havenwood Care Center in Bemidji. She was born to William and Anna Shamp on October 20, 1926, in Brainerd. Dorothy grew up in Walden Township, rural Pine River. She was trained in nursing and worked at Swedish and Methodist Hospitals in Minneapolis, and retired from Ah Gwah Ching in Walker. She married Thomas Reed on June 13, 1992, and they resided in the Cass Lake area.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Tom, and brother, Robert.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM on Friday, September 21, at St. Charles Catholic Church, Cass Lake. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will 4:30 PM on Friday, September 21, at St. Clara Cemetery in Clara City, MN.
