Dorothy Muehlbauer

Dorothy “Doris” Muehlbauer, of Nisswa, passed away on Tuesday, June 08, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, MN.

Doris was born January 11, 1925 to John and Theresa VanHale in Buffalo, MN. She grew up with her twin sister Delores, brother Delbert and Vernon, and sister Lucille. On November 10, 1942 Doris married Lawrence F. Muehlbauer in Lastrup, MN. They had six children, Lawrence, Ronald, Shirley, Sandy, Rodney, and Brenda. Doris worked at a bakery, Twin Cities Arsenal and several convenience stores in the Anoka Area.

Throughout her life, Doris welcomed many family and friends to their home in St. Cloud, Elk River, Anoka, and later to their cabin in Cinosam on Gull Lake.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Lawrence; infant daughter Shirley; son Rodney; daughter-in-law Debbie; son-in-law Ron Ives; and her parents and siblings.

She is survived by children Lawrence (Cecile) Muehlbauer, Ronald Muehlbauer, Sandy Ives, Brenda Rogers, son-in-law Dan Rogers, daughter-in-law Brenda Muehlbauer, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

The Funeral Mass and Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at St. Christopher’s Church in Nisswa, MN. Visitation will be 10 AM – 11 AM with Mass following shortly after. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel of Baxter, MN.
