Doris Waldhoff

Doris E. Waldhoff, 87, of Crosslake, MN, died on Monday, March 6, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Doris was born on December 17, 1929 in Minneapolis to Elmer and Minnie (Holst) Anderson. She graduated from Roosevelt High School. She was united into marriage to Orlo Waldhoff on June 25, 1949 in Minneapolis, MN. Doris worked for Unysis for 10 years before becoming a full time homemaker to her family. Doris and Orlo previously owned the Luck-E-Strike Resort in Crosslake. She was a member of the Women’s VFW Auxiliary. Doris loved cooking and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and her great-great-grandchild.

Doris is survived by her loving husband, Orlo of 67 years; her children, Cindy (Jerry) Lukasavitz of St. George, Utah, Douglas (Becky) Waldhoff of Zimmerman, MN, and Deborah (Bob) Ash of Brainerd; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews; her special extended family Al White and family in Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Minnie; sister, Eleanor Djerf; brother, Ralph Anderson; and special family friend, Lorraine White. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake, MN.
