Donovan Robinson

Donovan L. Robinson, age 82, of Pine River passed peacefully at home in the presence of his wife of 55 years on Wednesday, March 31, 2010. A memorial service will be held at 11 am Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the Church of The Nazarene in Backus. Kline Funeral Home of Pine River is in charge of the arrangements.

Donovan Robinson was born January 12, 1928 at Rogers, SD the son of Harry and Flossie (Wright) Robinson. He grew up and attended the Hackensack School. Don was employed with the State Highway Department for 30 years. He worked 22 of those years in Motley where all of his children graduated. He then transferred to Pine River before he retired in 1992. They lived in the Pine River and Backus for 25 years.

Don is survived by his wife, Kay of Pine River; his son, Dale (Mavis) of Motley; daughters, Sandra (Bruce) Skeesick of Jenkins, Sharee (Murland) Rogers of Lake Shore and Susan (Randy) Roberts of Pine River; twelve grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Edward of St. Francis, Kansas and by several nieces and nephews.
