Donna O’Donnell, 83, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024. She was born on September 29, 1941, in St. Joseph, Missouri, Donna lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to her family.

Donna married the love of her life, Patrick O’Donnell. They began their life together in St. Paul before moving to Rosemount, where they raised their three children.

During her years in Rosemount, Donna cherished her time spent with her close-knit group of friends, finding joy in their shared laughter and camaraderie.

In retirement, Donna and Patrick fulfilled Patrick’s dream by moving to Barnes, Wisconsin, where they enjoyed a serene life surrounded by the beauty of nature. In her later years, Donna most recently resided in Pine River and Crosslake, Minnesota, where she found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as playing games and spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Donna also enjoyed working on word puzzles, staying informed on current events, and immersing herself in a good British mystery show.

Donna was a proud member of the Rosemount Legion Auxiliary and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Donna’s warmth, wisdom, and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. 

Donna is survived by her children, Bill (Anna) O’Donnell, Mike O’Donnell, and Kate (Brian) Greicar; and her grandchildren, Taylor O’Donnell, Emily Greicar, Alyssa O’Donnell, Robby Greicar, Megan O’Donnell, and Breanna O’Donnell. Her sister Patti Bergman (Larry) and her brother John Borgen; extended family in St. Joseph MO as well as her nephews and many friends. Donna is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Patrick O’Donnell; her parents, Bernice and Wilmer 

A private family service will be held Saturday December 14th at 1pm at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Crosslake MN. Interment will be held at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery
