Donna Harrington

Donna (Dwire) Harrington, 85, of Cannon Falls, formerly of Backus, passed away at Twin Rivers Senior Campus surrounded by her family March 29, 2013. Donna was born November 14, 1927, to Ella and Frankford Hasbrouck in Cass Lake, MN. She lived most of her life in Backus were she raised her family. She moved to Effie after marrying Patrick Harrington in 1989. Donna loved life, was a very active lady that loved to travel, dance, raise her chocolate labs and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Donna is survived by her children: Kirby (Cheryl) Dwire, Dale Dwire, Vickie (Lawrence) McCarty, all of Backus, Bobbi Haverinen of Deer Creek, Dawn (Dean) Haverinen of Sheldon, ND, Pansi (Kevin) Millage of Cannon Falls, Twyla (Burtis) Moore of Shawneetown, IL, Toni Jo Dwire of Ft Dodge, IA; stepsons: Ike, Dan, Patrick (Kelly), and Kim Harrington; 28 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren; brothers: Frank (Annette) Hasbrouck, Clarence (Julie) Hasbrouck; sisters: Trina Burges, Margie Stenroes; several step- grandchildren and great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husbands: Jack Dwire, Robert Dwire, Patrick Harrington; sister, Gladys Sullivan; sons, Mark and Kerwin Dwire; son-in-law, Marvin Haverinen; grandchildren: Jacob Haverinen, Bambi Haverinen and Donnavan Dwire.

Services will 3 PM on Thursday, April 4, at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 PM, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
