Donna Hagenson

Donna J. Hagenson, age 80, of Staples, passed away at the Lakewood Care Center on Tuesday, June 30. Funeral services are planned for Thursday, July 2, at 2:00 PM at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples, with visitation starting at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at the Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.

Donna was born on February 21, 1929, in Bertha, MN, to Armin and Inez (Rubel) Duenow. She attended school there, graduating from the eighth grade. On November 25, 1949, she married Norman Hagenson in Staples and they were blessed with eight sons. Donna was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the church Ladies Guild. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, and watching the Minnesota Twins.

Donna is survived by her sons, Duane of Staples, Dennis of Staples, Douglas (Meg) of Brainerd, Dale (Barbara) of Wyoming, Daniel (Sharon) of Staples, David (Jody) of Staples, Darren (Christine) of St. Louis Park, and Donald of Staples; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman; parents, Armin and Inez; and brothers, Gerald and Charles.
