Donald "Don" Putz

Donald “Don” Leroy Putz, 81, passed away at his home in Pequot Lakes MN on August 10, 2019. Services will be held 1:00PM Saturday August 24, 2019 at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Crosslake MN, visitation will begin at 12:30PM. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, with military honors.

Don was born in Eau Claire, WI to Lawrence and LaVera (Snyder) Putz. He graduated from Menomonie High School in 1955. Before retirement, he worked for Sperry Univac as an engineer for 31 years. Don had his pilot’s license and loved to fly; he also enjoyed painting, woodworking, and keeping active at the community center in Crosslake.

Don is survived by his children, Joanie, Michael, Lin, and Katie; grandchildren Angela, Joshua, Luke, Caleb, Abby, and Adam; siblings Jeanette, Marion, Jim, and Duane. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tammy; and brothers, Orville and Leo.
