Donald Witt

Donald G. Witt, age 80, of Pine River passed away Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Society, Pine River. He was born to Ludwig and Emma (Hickel) Witt on June 19, 1931 at Brainerd, MN. He grew up and attended school in Pine River. After graduating from high school, Donald served in the Armed Forces. He married Wilma Siltman. They lived South of Pine River for most of their 51 years of marriage. Donald enjoyed wood working and cutting fire wood.

Donald is survived by his three children, Peggy (Randy) Norman of Pine River, Susan (Butch) Oberfell of Sebeka and Greg Witt of Pine River; his brother, Marvin (Lorraine) Witt of Pine River; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Wilma, brother, Jim and a sister, Katherine and a grandson, Keith.

Mass of Christian burial will be said at 11:30 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2011 at Our Lady of the Lourdes Catholic Church, Pine River.
