Donald Schultz

Donald D. Schultz, 84, of Brainerd, MN passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. Services for Donald will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 10:30AM at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd, MN. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 1:00-4:00PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.

Donald was born on October 5, 1931 in Crosby Village to George and Ella (Klapel) Schultz. He married the love of his life, Carol Bertram and they spent 58 loving years together. Donald served in the United States Army. He enjoyed his life by farming, construction, woodworking, hunting, fishing, camping, and campfires all with the passion of his family. Donald was a member of the First Lutheran Church and Hillman American Legion.

Donald is survived by his loving wife, Carol; 3 children, Ronald Schultz of Brainerd, MN, Debi (Tom) Caughey of Brainerd, MN, and Dale (Tammy) Schultz of Breezy Point, MN; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, George Schultz of Brainerd, MN and Charles Schultz of Fort Ripley, MN; 2 sisters, Karen Struthers of Brainerd, MN and Marion Rieke of Hillman, MN; and his very best friend, Dick Rademacher. He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in honor of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
