Donald Narveson

Donald Ray Narveson was born on September 13, 1928, in Des Moines, IA, the son of Ray and Veva (Petersdorf) Narveson. He was called from this life early Saturday morning, November 12, 2005, at Bethany Good Samaritan Care Center in Brainerd. He attained the age of 77 years, 1 month, and 29 days.
Donald grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from Roosevelt High School. After his schooling he worked construction as a roofer, in addition to playing with several big bands. He was also a member of the Eagan Volunteer Fire Department. Besides being a musician he was also and avid bowler. After retiring he moved to Crosslake and wintered in Arizona. He was a member of Crosslake Lutheran Church. Donald is mourned in passing by his friend Joyce Hagen of Crosslake; his children, Jeff (Laura) Narveson of Lakeville, Donnell Carlson of Ogilvie, Steven Narveson of Savage, Mitchell (Rhonda) Narveson of Burnsville, Carter (Tammy) Narveson of Prior Lake, Kenton Narveson of Eagan, and Lauren Narveson of Eagan; many grandchildren; several grandchildren; sisters, Jerry (John) Swanson of North Minneapolis, and Marlys (Bill) Kulus of Prior Lake.
