Donald Homer McCuskey, 90, of Longville, Minnesota, passed away on April 15, 2016, peacefully in his sleep.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM, on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Salem Lutheran Church in Longville, Minnesota.
Donald was born in Holyoke, Minnesota, on October 14, 1925. He was married to Barbara McCuskey (Bagge) on April 8th, 1961; they were married 55 years.
Donald served in the Third Army in World War II. He lived and raised his family in Crystal, Minnesota, from 1961 to 2002 and worked as a Mechanic at Georgia Pacific/ St Regis Paper for more than 42 years. Donald enjoyed fishing, hunting, fixing things, baseball and spending time with his friends and family. He was also actively involved in VFW Post 772 (Longville/Remer).
Donald is survived by his wife, Barbara; his three children, Troy McCuskey and his wife Lori, Tim McCuskey and his girlfriend Cindy, and Linda Welch; brother, Harry McCuskey; sister, Anna Strand; sister-in-law, Audrey McCuskey; his grandchildren; nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Homer W. McCuskey and Anna M. McCuskey, as well as his sister, Margret Nikstad and brother, Albert McCuskey.
