Donald Vernon Lundquist, 81, of Hackensack, passed away November 20, 2007 at Neilson Place in Bemidji. He was born March 9, 1926 in Minneapolis to Walter Leonard and Hannah Maria Linnea (Brink) Lundquist. He graduated from Minneapolis Central High School and attended the University of Minnesota and Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. He served in the US Navy from 1943 to 1947 during World War II. He was a Richfield Police officer from 1954 to 1976. He and Minneapolis police officer Patrick Hartigan shared the 1974 Police Officer of the Year award. He owned and operated Lundquist Wood Products from 1967 to 2006. He married Maralyn Gail Henretta in 1949. She preceded him in death in 1972. He married Monica Lea Johnson in 1973. She survives him. He is also survived by three children, Steve (Janice) Lundquist, Bloomington, Sharon Nelson and her fiance, David Thompson, Little Falls, and Eric (Pamela) Lundquist, Annandale; two grandsons, Jeffrey and Shawn Lundquist, Bloomington; one brother, John Lundquist, Minnetonka; three nephews and their families. His parents preceded him in death.
