Donald R. Knoblauch, age 68, of Pillager, MN, passed away at his son’s home in Pine River on August 10, 2022 with family by his side. A gathering for friends and family of Don’s will be held on Sunday August 21, 2022 at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter from 3:00pm – 5:00pm.

Don was born on August 31, 1953 to Don and Marjorie (Requet) Knoblauch in Rock Island, Illinois. He graduated from high school and spent his career as a metal and steel fabricator.

One of Don’s greatest life experiences is being a Harbormaster in Alaska for the TV Show ‘Deadliest Catch’. Don shared many memories of this experience. He also was known to always be fabricating new ideas for metal and steel creations and loved to ‘tinker’ in his shop. He was very creative in his creations. When he wasn’t in the shop, he loved to be fishing in Dutch Harbor, Alaska.

Don is survived by his son Jeff (Meredith) Knoblauch, his daughter Sarah Knoblauch, his grandchildren Michael and Bailey, his great grandson Leo, three sisters, his close friend Crystal, and the mother of his children, Jamie.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Don are preferred to the Colon Cancer Coalition Foundation.

Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
