Donald Kline

Donald "Bud" Kline, age 87, of Pine River, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011, at the St. Cloud Hospital. He was born April 13, 1923, in Durand, Illinois to Ben and Dorothy Kline. He graduated from Pine River High School in 1941, and served in the United States Navy during World War II. He married Jean Finney on April 19, 1953.

Bud believed he was put on this earth to raise a family. He unselfishly dedicated his life by providing strength, love, encouragement and humor to his family. Therefore, he will be forever missed by his wife, Jean; children: Scott Kline, Doni Bahr (Don), Nancy Crimmins (Ole), Paula Martin, Joel Kline (Holly), Jay Kline (Jacki); grandchildren: Eric, Jeff, Matt, Carla, Laurie, Caleb, Darrel, Jenny, Justin, Sarah, Jade, Koreann, Jamie, Ben, Ashley, Kelsey, Rachel and Nick; 17 great grandchildren; and sisters, Sis Risnes and Mody Gardiner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Rachel Swift.

Services will be 11 AM on Thursday, February 10, at First Lutheran Church, Pine River. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Pine River. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
