Donald Grinde

Donald Grinde, 82, of Pine River, died Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at St. Josephs Medical Center. A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Pequot Lakes with Pastor Steven Anderson officiating. Friends may gather one hour prior to services.
Donald was born February 18, 1924 in Rice County, MN to Gena Grinde. He attended school in a one room schoolhouse near Strand and after completing the 9th or 10th grade he entered the Army Air Corp in 1942 to fight for his country in WWII. He was discharged from the Reserves in 1954. He worked for a number of years at the Veterans Hospital in Minneapolis in Administration. After this he worked for many years as an insurance salesman for Prudential. Don loved sports, cards, and photography. He was a loving, devoted father and grandfather.

Don will be missed by his son, Jeff (Ann) Grinde, of Pine River; his daughter, Dawn (Tony) Gurrola, of Phoenix, AZ; his mother, Gena, of Northfield; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Pequot Lakes, MN.
