Donald A. Fiebiger, 79, of Baxter died on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Edgewood Vista in Brainerd, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial for Donald will be held on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 11:00AM at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Nisswa, MN. Visitation will be Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN from 5:00-7:00PM and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at the Lakeshore Memorial Gardens.
Donald was born on August 15, 1933 in Waseca, MN to Leopold and Anna (Spies) Fiebiger. He graduated from Waseca High School. After high school Don entered the US Navy. Following his honorable discharge from the Navy he united into marriage to Susan Hamann on August 13, 1955 in Waseca, MN. Don started his own business, Minnesota Electric Controls and worked there until his retirement. After his retirement he moved to the Brainerd Lakes Area. Don is a member of the Nisswa American Legion and St. Christopher's Catholic Church. He was a former member of the Anoka American Legion. Don enjoyed golfing, dancing, playing pool and spending time with close friends on the Gull Lake Chain. He also was an avid sports enthusiast and loved his wife's cooking. He captured people's hearts with his friendliness and humor.
Don is survived by his children Michael (Tamerah) Mayer of St. Paul, MN, Kimber Fiebiger of Minneapolis, MN, Craig (Lisa) Fiebiger of Pequot Lakes, MN, Tracy (Roy) Brice of Ottawa, IL, and Rick (Tracy) Fiebiger of Minneapolis, MN; sister, Marion Sutter of Owatonna, MN; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Susan; and four brothers, Bob, Bill, Ed, and Sylvester "Babe".
Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
