Donald J. Cyr, 59, of Baxter died unexpectedly on Monday, September 30, 2013. Private Family Services for Donald will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 1:00PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN with Pastor Mark Bjorlo officiating.

Donald was born on June 21, 1954 in Hibbing, MN to Philip and LaVonne (Hyatt) Cyr. Donald was a Registered Nurse at the St. Cloud Penitentiary. He married Gail Jokela on May 3, 1975 in Babbitt, MN. Donald was an avid outdoorsmen, enjoying hunting, fishing, and trapping.

Donald is survived by his wife, Gail of Baxter, MN; children, Eric of Two Harbors, Alex of Brainerd, MN, and Abby (Mike) Eggum, of Brainerd, MN; two grandchildren, Logen Anderson and Madison Eggum; sisters, Phyllis Cyr of Detroit Lakes, MN and Jean (Dave) Doty of Siren, WI; brothers, Pat Cyr of Hibbing, Paul (Caroline) Cyr of Weston, WI, and Tom (Lori) Cyr of Virginia, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip and LaVonne.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter, MN.
