Donald Brastad Jr.

Donald Gordon Brastad Jr. age 68, of Fort Ripley, MN passed away unexpectedly on May 1, 2022, at Care Free Living in Brainerd, MN.

Don was born in Little Falls, MN to Donald and Florence (Uhde) Brastad on April 15, 1954. He spent his childhood living in Randall, MN later moving to Champlin, MN where he graduated from Anoka High School in 1973.

Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, and many other outdoor actives that were spent with family and friends. He also liked collecting old cars and vinyl records.

Don is survived by his daughter Rachel Duell; granddaughters, Brenna Brastad, Emma, and Mollie Duell; siblings, Richard Brastad, Todd Brastad, Douglas Brastad; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Florence Brastad, infant daughter Christina Brastad; and brother Kevin Brastad.

A celebration of life will be held at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN, on Tuesday May 17th. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM.
