Donald Andres

Donald F. Andres, 90, of Brainerd, MN passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Good Samaritan Society-Woodland in Brainerd, MN. Services for Donald will be 11:00AM, Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter with Steve Suer officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Donald was born September 4, 1928 in Randall, MN to Frank and Christine (Bentler) Andres. He was raised and educated in Randall. Donald served in the National Guard at Camp Ripley. He married Donna Gaffke May 6, 1952 at St. James Catholic Church in Randall, MN. Donald ran the feed store in Randall for 22 years before moving to Chaska and working for Lakeland Veterinary Supplies in sales, retiring when he was 75. After retirement, he and Donna moved to Brainerd in 2004. Donald enjoyed gardening, numbers, the magazine, Consumer Reports and he knew everything about cars-make, model, motor-everything!

Donald is survived by his wife of 67 years, Donna; children, Katherine (John) Scepurek of Jacksonville, NC, Gary (Cheryl) Andres of Fort Ripley, MN, Alan (Peggy) Andres of Baxter, MN, Susan (Don) Hanninen of Chaska, MN, Donald (Jody)  Andres of Baxter, MN, Peggy (Greg) Geyerman of Lakeville, MN; siblings, Christine “Babe” Lucy of Minneapolis, Walter (Pat) Andres of Little Falls, Robert (Sherry) Andres of Little Falls, Charles (Mary) Andres of Randall, Frank (Judy) Andres of Randall; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Richard Andres, Patricia Gaffke, Cecila Kempenich, James Andres, and granddaughter, April Scepurek.
