Diane Steinkopf, 62, of Brainerd, died peacefully in her sleep Saturday morning, March 26, 2022. Services will be held on Friday, April 8th at 11:00 am at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor Mark Skinner officiating. There will be a visitation held on Thursday, April 7 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Diane Linda (Aasen) Steinkopf, born June 2, 1959 in Bemidji, Minnesota was the 3rd child of Noel and Pearl Aasen. Her family moved to Brainerd in 1970 where she graduated from Brainerd High School in 1977 and Brainerd Area Vocational Technical Institute in 1978. She held multiple jobs throughout her life, most recently in the health care industry. Diane had a huge heart and would do anything for those close to her, especially her 4 grandchildren whom she loved dearly and cherished spending time with. Diane also enjoyed playing games, square dancing, raising Monarch butterflies, going to rummage sales and of course, her beloved cats. She was active in Toastmasters, Book Club and a singles group.
Diane will be missed by her daughter Amy Buchite; her grandchildren Amberlynn, Avis, Hank and Australia; her sisters Nancy Toussaint of California, Charlene (Thomas) Irwin of California, Karen (Mark) Epple of Edina; her sister-in-law Doris Aasen of Brainerd and 6 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Noel and Pearl, and her brother, Barry Aasen.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
