Diane Killian

Diane Fay Killian, 69, of Staples, MN died Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Lakewood Health System Care Center in Staples. A Memorial Service for Diane will be 11:00AM, Friday, November 13, 2015 at Motley Free Methodist Church in Motley with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 5:00-7:00PM, Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples and one hour prior to services at the church.

Diane was born February 14, 1946 in Staples, MN to Edmund and Gertrude (Berndt) Allen. She grew up and attended school through the 9th grade in Pillager, MN. Diane was united in marriage to Charles Killian on April 22, 1963 in Staples. They lived in various states throughout their marriage; including Idaho, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Colorado and eventually returning to Minnesota, where Diane resided in Staples, until the time of her death. Diane worked for Carter Ringer, Larson Boat Works and most recently as a CNA at Lakewood Health System Care Center, where she retired for health reasons in 2007. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, smoking cigarettes, and traveling to South Dakota with her family.

Diane is survived by her children; Sandi (Kevin) Robben of Staples, Lonny (Neila Gorron) Killian of Staples; grandchildren, Sheena Otto, Brandon Breitenfeldt, Robbie Anderson, Andrew Robben, Brady Killian, Avery Killian; and her sister, Barbara Carlson. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Freda Ackerson and Ferdinand Allen; and daughter-in-law, Lisa Killian; niece, Donnette Carlson and brothers-in-law, Jess Ackerson and Dale Carlson. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
