Diane Gildart

Diane D. Gildart, 76, of Brainerd, MN passed away at her home on October 3, 2023. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday October 21, 2023, at 11:00am at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to the start of the service. A luncheon will be served.  Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery (Camp Ripley) in Little Falls on Monday October 23, 2023, at 1:00pm.

Diane was born on August 5, 1947, in Little Falls, MN to Edward and Veronica (Dombovy) Schroeml. After completing high school, Diane was employed at St. Joseph’s Medical Center for 42 years until her retirement.

Diane enjoyed camping, site-sightseeing, and playing Bingo on a regular basis. One of her most treasured things in life was having a daughter who gave her beautiful grandchildren and a great grandchild.

She is survived by her husband Wilbert, her daughter Veronica (John) Franzen, her stepdaughter Sarah Rice, grandchildren Noelle Jensen, Cailee (Anthony) Kachuck, Joseph Nelson, Aubrey Nelson, Vincent Rice and Raymond Rice, her great grandchild Huxley Kachuck, her sister Bev (Barry) Mudford, sister’s in-law Shirley (Gordy) Borg and Bev (Jerry) Hines, and many nieces and nephews.

Diane is preceded in death by her first husband Ronald Warner, her parents, her infant sisters, and her brother Ronald Schroeml.

Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
