Diane Gibbons

Diane A. Gibbons, age 66, of Pequot Lakes died January 12, 2020 at Golden Horizons Assisted Living in Crosslake.  A celebration of Diane’s life will be at 11AM on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Crosslake Evangelical Free Church.  Rev. Mark Holmen will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the church in Crosslake.

Diane was born on August 14, 1953 in Richmond, WI to Warren Sr. and June (Rockstad) Wasson.  She met her high school sweetheart, Jerry Gibbons, when she was 16 years old; the couple married on December 16, 1972 in Pequot Lakes.  Diane worked as an LPN for Crow Wing County home healthcare most recently; providing care and comfort for patients at home.  She was a member of Crosslake Evangelical Free Church, where she walked strongly in her faith and was a strong prayer warrior.  Diane started her day with prayer and continued to pray for those that crossed her path through out the day.  She enjoyed shopping at thrift stores, fishing, and volunteering at church (especially in the kitchen because she liked to cook).  Diane had a comforting personality that people were attracted to; she was giving, caring, compassionate and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Diane is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jerry of Pequot Lakes; children, Joe (Erin) of Delano, Angel (Deon) Hartman of Hoyt Lakes; mother, June Blodgett of FL; brother, Warren (Linda) Wasson of Otsego; grandchildren, Alexis, Sydney, and Jace.  She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; and father, Warren Wasson Sr.
