Diane Ayd

Diane Irene Ayd, 79, of Breezy Point, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family.
Diane was born to Jack and Rosie Lynch in Waseca, MN, on April 13, 1940. She attended school in St. Peter, MN, then graduated in Shakopee, MN, in 1958. Here she met Robert Ayd. Diane married Bob Ayd on October 21, 1961. Together they had three children.

Diane worked 14 years as a nursing assistant at the Shakopee Hospital then later moved to the Brainerd Lakes Area where they made there home in Crosslake. Diane then worked at the Pine River nursing home and worked other various job in the area. Diane and Bob built their retirement home and made Breezy Point their residence.

Diane had many hobbies. She enjoyed sewing, making jewelry and rooting on the Gophers and the Vikings. After retirement she enjoyed spending winters in Florida. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Diane is survived by her children: Julie Kreitz (Jeff), Breezy Point, David Ayd ( Luanne Schwartz), Breezy Point, Ben Ayd (Angie), Nisswa; grandchildren: Jessica Kreitz, Jack Kreitz, Ashley Paulouski (Ryan), Elizabeth Curb (Rylee); brother, John Lynch (Janice), St. Peter; and many nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles. Diane was preceded in death by her late husband, Robert Ayd (2016) and parents, Jack and Rosie Lynch.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 AM on Saturday, November 16 at Immaculate Heart Church in Crosslake. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. A luncheon will be provided immediately after the service. Burial will be at Pelican Woods Cemetery.
