Derald ChubsE. Anderson, a resident of West Gull River Rd, Pillager, died Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at his home at Diamond Willow in Baxter with his family at his side. Services will be Friday, August 31, at 11 AM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with Fr. Gabriel Waweru officiating and interment following at the Baxter City Cemetery. A luncheon will be held in Brennys Reception Center following the burial. There will be a visitation from 5-7 PM on Thursday evening at the Brenny Funeral Chapel with a prayer service at 6:30 PM.
Derald Anderson is survived by four children; Karen (Leon) Winterowd, of Pillager, Jeff (Annette) Anderson, of Pillager, Barb (Mike) Villwock, of Brainerd, and Steve (Wendy) Anderson, of Pillager; Jeanette Nelson, of Brainerd; eight grandchildren, Lee, Shane, Matt, Travis, Alyssa, Kelsey, Kassie, and McKenzie; and four great-grandchildren, Chase, Hunter, Devon and Tyler. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Derald Anderson was born on May 26, 1930 in Aldrich, MN, son of the late Anton and Hannah (Anderberg) Anderson. He graduated from Staples High School. He was united in marriage to Jeanette Macho. He worked for the State of Minnesota as a surveyor until his retirement. He enjoyed his cabin on the Gull River and enjoyed spending time with his family. He liked deer hunting, fishing and traveling. He will be missed by all who knew him.
