Dennis Montague

Dennis Dee Montague (Denny), age 79, from Brainerd, MN passed away on September 1, 2015 with his family by his side at St. Cloud Hospital. A Memorial Service for Denny will be held at 3:00PM, Friday, September 11, 2015 at Crosslake Lutheran Church, Crosslake, MN, with visitation one hour prior to services. Fellowship will follow service at the American Legion, Crosslake, MN from 4:00 to 6:30PM. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00PM, Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Short Stop Bar & Grill, Coon Rapids, MN. A Prayer of Passing prior to Celebration at 1:00PM. Denny and Shirley raised their family in Coon Rapids, MN and retired to the Brainerd Lakes area in 1998. After the passing of his wife in 2006, Denny traveled the country with his motor home and Harley trike. Denny will always be remembered for living life to the fullest, his carefree "Whatever" philosophy and bringing a smile to the face of everyone he met.

Dennis is survived by his two brothers, Eugene (Mimi) and Charles (Annie); sister, Rhea (Dan) Nash; four sons, Daniel, Donald (Caree), Douglas (Brenda), David (Christine); numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren and very special friends, Dianne and Miranda Turcotte. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Gertrude and his loving wife, Shirley. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake, MN.
