Dennis Hartwig

Dennis Hartwig, age 62, of Pequot Lakes, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2009. He was born January 2, 1947 in Pequot Lakes, to Roy and Leona Hartwig. Dennis was a lifetime resident of Pequot Lakes. He graduated from Pequot Lakes High School and served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army. He married Mary Voges on June 19, 1971. Dennis was employed by Mattson Lumber in Nisswa. He was a member of the Forty & Eight, the Pequot Lakes American Legion, and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary; son, Michael Hartwig (Jacinta); daughter, Heather Hartwig; brothers: Wayne Hartwig (Diane), Richard Hartwig; sister, Carol Rudlang (Harold); three grandchildren: Paige, Alessandra and Cuyler Hartwig.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Harold Hartwig.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Salvation Army are preferred.

Services will be 11 AM on Friday, December 11, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Pequot Lakes, with Pastor Frank Milo officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes.
