Dennis Conrad

Dennis E. Conrad, age 61, of Baxter, Minnesota died on Sunday, May 6, 2001, at St. Joseph?s Medical Center in Brainerd. Services will be Wednesday, May 9, 2001 at 4:30 PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with Reverend Dwight Johnson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Camp Ripley. Military Honors provided by the Brainerd American Legion Post #255. Arrangements are with the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
Dennis E. Conrad was born September 18, 1939 in Springfield, Minnesota son of Walter E and Laura Conrad. He served in the United States Navy for 3 years from 1957 to 1960. Lived in Lamberton, Minnesota and worked for the Chicago, Northwestern Railroad for approximately 10 years. In the early 70?s he traveled the United Stated and returned to Minnesota in 1984. He was united in marriage to Carol Addison in April 10, 1985 in Marshall, Minnesota. He lived in southern Minnesota until 1986 when he moved to Brainerd where he worked for resorts. He enjoyed painting pictures and he wrote and recorded gospel songs.

Dennis is survived by his wife Carol, sisters Lois (Marv) Vik of Brainerd, Eunice Polk of Tucson, Arizona; a brother Noel Conrad of Lamberton. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 3 sisters.
