Delphinus Breun

Delphinus "Del" Breun, passed away peacefully Friday, December 23, 2016 at Cuyuna Regional Medical Care Center in Crosby. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Deacon Roger Marks will preside. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services.

Del was born October 4, 1928, in Lac Qui Parle, the son of Norbert and Francis (Pulaski) Breun. On August 19, 1950, Del married Audrey Payette. He enlisted in the U.S. Marines and served his country from 1952-1954. Del was a self-employed ceramic tile installer for more than 30 years and a member of the Bricklayer's Union for 55 years. Del and Audrey (Payette) enjoyed their winters in Folton, TX and spending the summers at the lake with their grandchildren. Del liked to fish, was a member of the Champlain Lions, and St. Gerard's. He would never turn down a beer with a friend. He will be missed.

Del is survived by his wife of 66 years, Audrey; children, Gordy (Vicki) Breun, of Garrison, Bruce (Renee) Breun, of Garrison, Paul (Robyn) Breun, of Otsego, and Debra (Douglas) Jackson, of Otsego; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and siblings, Sylvester Semrau, Carola Just, Corrine Sullivan, and Dennis Breun. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandchild, and a niece.
