DeLose "Jack" Thornquist, 83, Brainerd, died November 3, 2006 at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd. Memorial service will be Saturday, November 11, at 11 am, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
Jack was born December 30, 1922 in Long Prairie, to Clarence and Christina Thornquist. He attended school in Long Prairie. He was married to Florence (Eberle) Thornquist August 28, 1950 in Long Prairie. They were married more than fifty years. They lived in St. Paul until Jack retired from International Harvester after 32 years of service. They moved to Mille Lacs Lake and, later, to Brainerd.
Jack is survived by a sister-in-law, Eloise Thornquist; brothers-in-law Roger and Allen Eberle and their families; six nieces and two nephews and their families, all residing in TX; and Donald Kozitka, Staples and his children. He was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Christina Thornquist; his wife, Florence Thornquist; and his brother, Donald Thornquist.
Thank you to the wonderful neighbors and friends for their love and support. Also, thank you to Dr. Gervais and all the staff at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, and the entire staff at Bethany Good Samaritan Village for the care they gave our uncle.
