DeLoris Oliphant

DeLoris M. Oliphant, 75, of Brainerd, died Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd. Funeral Services will be 12:00 PM, Friday, October 26, 2007 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with Chaplain Lilja Behr officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd, MN.
DeLoris was born to Donald and Frances (Gardner) Felkey on April 7, 1932 in St. Paul, MN. She grew up in Walker, MN. She worked as a beautician, in healthcare, and managed the A&W Restaurant in Walker. She was united in marriage to Marvin Oliphant on January 3, 1964. They worked and lived in Blaine, MN until their retirement in 1984.

She will be missed by her husband of 43 years, Marvin; her daughters, Diane (Gary) Blue, Gaylene Peter, and Heather (Dan) Gillund; and her grandchildren, Chandra Peter, Danielle Nelson, Cole Blue, Kevin Gillund and Christopher Gillund; her great-grandchildren, Cullen Peter, Blake Nelson, Barrick Nelson, and Abby Lawyer; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Francis (Gardner) Felkey, her father, Donald Felkey; Grandfather Burt Gardner, and Grandmother, Beatrice Gardner.
