Delores Pribbenow

Delores Sarah Pribbenow, 93 years old, of Staples, Minnesota died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the Lakewood Health System Care Center.

Delores was born November 7, 1917 to Arthur and Mary Brown in Sylvan Township. She grew up and went to school in the Pillager area. On April 11, 1938 she married Roy Larson in Fargo, ND. Delores spent her professional career working in the Food Service Industry in Motley and the Brainerd Lakes Area.

In June of 1964 Delores married Arthur Pribbenow in Motley and they moved to Mound where she worked for Tonka Toy's Company. She retired at the age of 62 and after retirement they moved back to the Staples Motley where she lived until she passed away.

Delores had many hobbies of fishing, crocheting, writing poetry, and a great love of music that she passed on to her children. She was so proud of their musical abilities.

Delores is survived by her children from her first marriage, Ronald Larson, Beverly Zabroski, Sharon (Bernie) Huffman, Patsy Johnson, Sandra (Gary) Winkle, Barbara (David) Cline, Daryl Larson and Debora Larson. She is also survived by Arthur's children Barbara (Dennis) Dahl, Beverly Hahn, Bonnie (Wayne) Witkop, Jerry (Connie) Pribbenow. Other survivors are her sisters-in-law Dora Brown, Lydia (Cliff) Goodwater, Florence (Bill) Berndt, Francis Pribbenow, and brother-in-law Willis (Cathy) Pribbenow; 33 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces & nephews; and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Roy; husband Arthur; brothers, Clyde, Clarence, Charles, Edward, Arthur, and Richard Brown; sisters, Cora Peterson, Victoria Quelan and Nettie Briggs; sons-in-law Derry Zabroski and Douglas Brill; and grandson, Kevin Dosman.
