Delores Morton

Delores "Dode" (Lind) Morton, 83, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. A celebration of Dode's life will be held at a later date.

Delores was born in Bemidji, February 27, 1929, to Willard and Cora (Appleby) Lind. She graduated from Bemidji High School. On October 16, 1948, Dode and Mort (Wayne Morton) began their life's journey together. She was a secretary for JC Penny and ISD 181.

Dode loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed the "critters" outside her windows, traveling and their winters in Arizona.

She will be deeply missed by her husband of 63 years, Mort; children, Sue (Gary) Duda, of Brainerd and Scot (Jenny) Morton, of Buffalo, Wyoming; grandchildren, Josh (Amy) Duda, Jericho (Jeff) Croyle, Aaron (Angela) Morton, and Darby (Philip) Martin; great-grandson, Kian Duda; siblings, Bill (Jan) Lind and Mary (Bruce) Johnson; and her extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Alice Jean Williams.
